Forward Wealth is operated by Indiwealth Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), registered at L-804, Greenwoods CHS Ltd, Chakala, Andheri Kurla Road, Andheri East, Mumbai – 400093. We act as a digital facilitator between users and regulated lenders for Loan Against Securities (LAS) services.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to all users — borrowers, prospective borrowers, and visitors.
Information we collect
Personal information
When you register or apply for a loan, we collect:
- Mobile number, email address, and PAN
- KYC details: bank account information, income, occupation, and credit score
- Investment details: mutual fund folios, demat holdings, and securities held
- Repayment records and loan account history
- Aadhaar (masked) for identity verification
- For entity accounts: entity name, registered address, business documents, PAN, TAN, and GST number
Platform activity data
We also automatically collect data about how you use our platform, including login times, features used, search queries, pages visited, and actions taken. This data is used to improve the service and is not sold to third parties.
Non-personal information
We collect browser type, device type, operating system, and aggregated usage statistics. This information is used only to improve the platform's performance and reliability.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Assess your eligibility and process your loan application
- Create and administer your account
- Communicate with you about your application, loan, and account
- Provide customer support and handle grievances
- Send you service updates, alerts, and — where you have opted in — promotional content
- Monitor for fraud and comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain records as required by RBI, SEBI, and other regulators
We do not use your data for any purpose beyond those listed above without obtaining fresh consent from you.
Children's privacy
The Forward Wealth platform is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through our platform, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the information promptly.
Cookies
We use both persistent and session cookies to customise your experience, track usage patterns, and comply with applicable regulations. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may limit the functionality of certain features. We do not use cookies to track you across third-party websites.
Who we share your information with
We share your personal information only with parties that need it to deliver the service:
- Lending partner (Bajaj Finance Limited): To process and administer your loan
- RTA and depositories (CAMS, KFintech, NSDL, CDSL): To verify and place a lien on your securities
- KYC and identity verification services: To complete your onboarding
- Legal and regulatory authorities: Where required by law or court order
- Service providers and administrators: Who operate our infrastructure under confidentiality obligations
- Prospective acquirers: If Forward Wealth or its assets are acquired, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction
We do not sell your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for a period of 5 years from the date of your last transaction or account closure, or longer if required by applicable law.
If you request deletion of your account, we will process the request within 90 days. Unresolved loan applications are deleted after 90 days of inactivity. Certain records may be retained beyond this period to comply with legal obligations.
Requesting data deletion
To request deletion of your personal data, email [email protected] with your full name, registered mobile number, email address, and PAN. We will acknowledge the request within 3 working days and process it within 90 days.
Revoking consent
You may revoke your consent to data processing at any time via your profile page using the "Remove Consent" option. Please note that revoking consent will disable your access to the Forward Wealth platform and may affect the processing of any active loan applications.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, which adheres to Microsoft's Data Breach and Destruction (DBD) guidelines per NIST SP-800-88 standards. We implement firewalls, encryption, and access controls to protect your data. We conduct periodic backups and security reviews.
While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is completely immune to cyber threats. We are not liable for data pilferage resulting from hacking, viruses, or other security incidents beyond our reasonable control.
Data breach notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you within 3 working days of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Third-party links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites (including our lending partner and regulatory portals). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.
